Prevention of Sexual Exploitation of Minors in Tourism

This code guides everyone involved in our operations—travelers, suppliers, and team members—when there is any suspicion of sexual and/or labor exploitation of children and teenagers in tourism.
Our commitments
- Inform all staff that sexual exploitation of minors is a crime that can lead to imprisonment for anyone in the chain of responsibility.
- Train teams to recognize indicators and escalate immediately to the protocol lead and competent authorities.
- Display prevention materials (print or digital) in visible places; useful references include TheCode.org, ChildSafe, UNICEF, and ECPAT.
- Work only with suppliers that comply with the Code of Conduct on the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Teens in Travel and Tourism, and with applicable child-protection law.
- Promote respect and shared responsibility among domestic and international visitors.
Protecting minors is non-negotiable. If you witness or suspect exploitation, tell your guide or Sendaluna contact at once so the correct authorities can be engaged.
