Sustainability Policy
General sustainability and social responsibility policies
1. Foreword
This policy gathers the standards that guide Sendaluna’s operations: how we choose partners, care for people, reduce environmental impact, communicate honestly, and protect communities and minors throughout the traveler journey.
2. Our mission
We craft tailor-made experiences that celebrate nature, empower local communities, and inspire travelers to explore with respect—aligning commercial excellence with measurable social and environmental responsibility.
3. Sustainable & accessible destinations
- Maintain information on inclusive and accessible suppliers.
- Collaborate where accessibility gaps exist.
- Research with travelers with disabilities when possible rather than assuming needs.
- Offer products with the fewest accessibility barriers feasible given local supply.
- Provide accurate information when full accessibility is not available.
- Train staff on disability etiquette, terminology, barriers, and unconscious bias.
4. Human resources
- Pay at least the legal minimum for permanent and temporary staff.
- Prohibit intimidating, discriminatory, or offensive language or conduct; no harassment, favoritism, or bribes.
- Never coerce work through threats or withhold identity documents.
- Enroll workers in appropriate health coverage and keep safety procedures current.
- Do not dismiss staff for pregnancy, breastfeeding, creed, religion, or orientation.
- Respect differences of religion, gender, ethnicity, nationality, and belief.
- Provide induction, keep role manuals updated, and share labor and ethics updates.
- Run regular performance reviews and keep emergency plans current.
- Train annually on sustainability, culture, and corporate social responsibility.
- Respect freedom of association and collective bargaining rights without retaliation.
5. Anti-harassment and non-discrimination
Workplace equality and anti-harassment standards are detailed in our dedicated Anti-Harassment and Non-Discrimination Policy, which forms part of this framework.
6. Environmental policy
- Comply with environmental laws affecting our activity.
- Measure impacts and define compensation measures.
- Run awareness campaigns; promote rational water and energy use among staff and guests.
- Monitor consumption, maintain equipment, and prefer efficient devices and natural light.
- Strengthen waste segregation, prefer biodegradable packaging, and manage hazardous waste correctly.
- Estimate annual CO₂, assign a monetary offset value, and support environmental or social initiatives.
- Educate travelers and share protected-area regulations during visits.
7. Transparency policy
Guest communications should include accurate itineraries and timings, clear pricing and validity, inclusions and exclusions, insurance details, destination information, sustainable options, ethical or dress guidance when needed, truthful imagery, data-protection notices, complaint channels, and emergency contacts.
8. Purchasing policy
- Prohibit purchase of souvenirs involving endangered species, illicit artifacts, or illegal substances.
- Prefer suppliers with integrity on labor, human rights, environment, and child protection.
- Contract legally registered companies and, when possible, certified or best-practice partners.
- Favor local and national products, biodegradable cleaning supplies, and greener office purchasing.
